Take a city bus toward Valentine Lake or Dawulun, and get off at Valentine Lake Station. Or take Keelung Bus toward Jinshan, Wanli, and get off at the Valentine Lake Station. Also you can take Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport toward Danshui, Jinshan, Wanli, getting off at Valentine Lake Station. Personal vehicles may drive by the Jijin 1st Rd., circle the road around mountain all the way directly to the parking lot in front of public toilets of Dawulun Fortification.
[3] Gangizihliao Fortification:Currently no public transport vehicle can reach. Visitors must drive themselves from Dongguang Rd. to Dongmei 1st St. entrance, and turn left along the industry road to reach.
[4] Baimiwong Fortification:Take a city bus toward Baimiwong (Xiandong). Direct access is available for the personal cars, but the road on uphill slope is curved. You should pay attention to safety.
[5] Mushan Fortification:Within a military control zone, it is not open to the public.
[6] Liu Mingchuan Tunnel:You can take city bus toward Guojia Xincheng or Anle community (Jiande Junior High School) or Keelung Bus toward Guojia Xincheng and get off at Laodagong Station. Walk on foot up to the end of the Chongde Rd., that is, to Liu Mingchuan Tunnel entrance. Personal cars can by the An 1st Road enter Chongde Rd., to reach north exit of Liu Mingchuan Tunnel.
[7] Shiqiuling Fortification:Because it is at the starting point of the freeway, on the top of Daye tunnel (Renai District, Shiqiu Borough, Shiqiuling), there is no public transport vehicle (such as city bus, Keelung Bus and others) to reach. You may drive personal car, and turn right from the small road in front of Daye tunnel. You had better walk on foot on the steep mountain road.
[8] Sheliao Fortification:Take a city bus toward Heping Island and get off at “Ala Baowan” stop.
[9] Sino-French War Memorial Park:Take a city bus toward Heping Island, Badou Zi, Xinfeng Street, and get off at the Zhongzheng Road “Haimen Natural Barrier” stop.
[10] Keelung Fort Command:Take a city bus toward Heping Island, Badou Zi, Xinfeng Street, (via Xiangfeng Street) and get off at “Catholic Church” or “Xiangfeng Market”.
[11] Keelung Fort Commander’s Official Residence:Take a city bus toward Heping Island, Badou Zi, Xinfeng Street, and get off at the “Public Bus Administration” stop on the Zhongzheng Road and turn back.
[12] Keelung Fort Commander’s Residences:Take a city bus toward Heping Island, Badou Zi, Xinfeng Street, and get off at the “Veterans Centre” station or at the “Public Bus Administration” stop.
[13] Mayor's Mansion:Take a city bus toward Heping Island, Badou Zi, Xinfeng Street, through Zhongzheng Road and get off at the “Civil Official & Teacher Public Housing” stop.
According to their competent authorities, monuments are divided into nation specified, municipality specified, county (city) specified ones three categories, which are reviewed, specified, and announced by the Ministry of Culture and municipality and county (city) governments, and they report to the Ministry of Culture for future reference.

The city's monuments contain seven fortifications, one industrial facility, a burial, a government office, three mansions, a lighthouse, a total of fourteen sites.
According to Article 2 in the Cultural Heritage Preservation Act Enforcement Rule: monuments and historic buildings are antique construction and ancillary facility groups whose important part is still intact, including ancestral hall, temple, mansion, city wall, border fortification, government office, station, academy, stele, church, memorial archway, tomb, dike, lighthouse, bridge and industrial facilities.
