The building has 9 stories on the ground two stories underground for a total of 11 stores with land area of 1,242 pings and total construction area of 12,052 pings.It is a multi-purpose place for culture and education.The appearance is magnificent and the building is located in the major juncture of downtown KeelungCity.The building has become a major target of the city and the major place for cultural and art activities of the city.

Not only has the Center held many static and dynamic activities, what is more important is that it has the important mission of improving citizen spirit and life of quality.CulturalCenter is not merely the fortress defending the culture but also the lighthouse issuing the brilliance of culture, guiding the entire citizens to lives at a higher level.We follow the policy of central government to promote cultural and art activities and adjust the lives of spirit and material of citizens to have balanced development.The construction history of KeelungCulturalCenter from the initiation on 27 August 1985 is like a page of history book of cultural work in KeelungCity.

The Center currently has Cultural Development Section, Exhibition Arts Section, Library Information Section, Cultural Heritage Section and Performing Arts Section.

1. Cultural Development Section is in charge of various kinds of art activities.

2. Exhibition Arts Section takes care of planning and promotion of exhibitions and visual art, collection, research, and keeping of collectibles, installation, operation and assistance of exhibition halls as well as promotion of public cart, etc.

3. Library Information Section is responsible for application of library card, book borrowing and use of public inquiry.

4. Cultural Heritage Section is in charge of investigation research, promotion of learning, maintenance, repair and re-use, etc. of cultural heritages such as historical sites, historical buildings historical constructions, relics, cultural landscape, folk customs, traditional art and languages, etc.

5. Performing Arts Section is in charge of various kinds of performing activities including music, dance, drama, films, large lectures and traditional dramas.
